A very nice Waterman's Ideal Safety fountain pen, this time we have a number 42. The pen has a major issue, such as a crack in the hard rubber spiral, so the nib does not lock in anymore when extended. This will be welded, (or changed if the weld is not possible). The pen will also benefit of a new cork seal, although the one in place right now still holds. 

I like the really well-formed patina on this pen, an olive shade. Engravings are still crisp and readable, which is a plus to any vintage pen, I guess.
